Neti Kriya is one of the six purification techniques in the yogic system known as Shatkarma. These cleansing methods are designed to purify the body, balance the mind, and prepare practitioners for deeper yogic practices like pranayama and meditation. The word “Neti” in Sanskrit means “to guide” or “to clean,” and “Kriya” means “action” or “practice.” Therefore, Neti Kriya literally translates to the “act of cleansing.” It focuses primarily on purifying the nasal passages and sinus cavities, allowing for better breathing, improved energy flow, and overall well-being.
